Getting messy
During a holiday, we decided to pay a visit to the children
at Everest Children’s Home. Usually we help them with homework, but because it
was a national holiday we jumped at the opportunity to get a bit more messy.
Newspaper, balloons and paper mache proved a success with the 5 – 12 year olds
and no one emerged with a clean set of hands (or feet or face for that matter).
Hopefully, when the glue has dried, there will be an abundance of circular
shapes, for the children to turn into animal faces, bowls or decorative
objects. Overall, the day was exhausting, but one of the best experienced by
both volunteers and children throughout our time in Nepal.
