Smiles that rival hollywood
It’s great to see that although the majority of these
children lead impoverished lives, they still have a smile on their face every
time they see you. At times, daycare can be testing, what with kids wetting
themselves, fighting or constantly crying. However at the end of the day, the
volunteers will always have an exhausted yet triumphant smile upon their face.
Although, Nepal doesn’t have the greatest dental service, we are attempting to
do our bit by supplying the daycares with a tooth-brushing chart. They may not
be a great work of art but our handmade posters serve their purpose well
enough; for every time a child brushes their teeth after lunch, they receive a sticker
to attribute to their name on the chart. We hope that in the weeks to come, the
chart will become abundant with stickers and the toddler’s teeth will rival
those of Hollywood.
